The series
Stories that belong together. Some stand alone and share a place and a night — read one, or read them all and see the whole picture. Others are told chapter by chapter, inside a larger saga — the same protagonists, the same world, one chapter at a time.
The Hallowe’en Hunt
Every Halloween for eighteen years, Tamsin Pryce has run the Hunt: a hat full of names, a pocketful of clues, and a route through Skelby after dark. This year is the last one. The pairs go out into the night — to the churchyard, the old mill, the shut-up pier — and on every route something is not where it should be.
The Approach
Pipeline analyst Maren Falk adjusts a filter threshold on a slow January shift and finds something in the discard pile that shouldn’t be there — a heat signature at 220 AU, moving inbound at 0.003c. Source unknown. Fourteen months from the inner solar system.
