Colophon
What this is
NocturnalFiction.com is an adult fiction publication. The work is explicit erotic romance — serials, novelettes, and standalone short stories across five genres: paranormal romance, contemporary romance, dark fantasy, sci-fi romance, and historical romance. Every story is free to read. Every page is honest about what it contains before you click anything.
The fiction is organized three ways: by genre, by saga, and by serial. Genres are broad categories — the atmosphere and trope set. Sagas are shared worlds that accumulate stories over time, with their own visual identity and lore. Serials are ongoing chapter-by-chapter narratives that live inside a saga. Browse all of them from the Sagas and Genres pages.
What you’ll find here
Short stories in the 3–12 minute range. Novelettes that run longer when the story needs the space. Ongoing serials that update weekly. Shorter standalones that appear throughout. The catalogue spans all five genres and grows continuously.
The explicit scenes are integral to the stories, not decoration. The romance develops because of the tension between characters, not in spite of it. The writing aims at the standard of published erotic romance — direct, sensory, and character-driven.
How the site works
Everything is free to read. There are no paywalls, no premium tiers, no locked chapters. The publication is supported by curated affiliate links to books worth reading — you’ll find those on story pages, never inside the stories themselves. No banner ads. No pop-ups mid-story. You open a story, you read it, you close it.
New content follows a regular schedule. Serials update every Friday. Standalone stories appear whenever a new one is ready. The homepage always shows the most recent work first.
Editorial standards
Every character in every story is an adult. Every scenario is fictional. The explicit content here is written for adult readers who want desire taken seriously as a subject — not as backdrop, not as reward, but as part of what the story is about.
The design
The typeface is Fraunces, a serif that suits fiction better than most. The publication mark — three lunar phases in a row — shifts accent color with the page it’s on. The reading surface is clean by design: no ads, no interruptions, nothing between you and the story.
How these stories are made
The scenarios, characters, and plot points in every story are mine. AI writing tools handle the drafting — connecting the beats into prose, writing the explicit scenes, catching my typos. Then I proofread and edit by hand against the standards that govern this site: heat-level requirements, on-page scenes, character-driven prose. Nothing goes out that I wouldn’t put my name on.
The soul is human; the typing is shared. — Lina Pellerin

Production
Built on Cloudflare Pages. Pages are pre-built by a Node.js pipeline at publish time — there is no server, no CMS, no database. Story metadata lives in a single JSON file. Body HTML lives in flat content files. This is as simple as a website gets.
Typeface: Fraunces (display) and Inter (UI) via Google Fonts. Images generated with sharp. Site engineering and editorial workflow by the publisher.
